A Catholic temple was built in 1911 in imperial Russia using donations. Following the revolution, it was remade into a theater, and then into the organ hall of Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic Hall. During Perestroika, Catholics could minister here again, but the church remained a part of the Philharmonic Hall with concerts and performances.
Inside, like outside, there are incredible backgrounds for selfies, old elements of decoration. Videos are allowed. And next to the church the most photographed sculpture of Krasnoyarsk is located – ‘Uncle Vasya – a drunkard’. According to locals, the big drinker is ‘listening to the organ playing at the temple’.
